The most known form of handicrafts in India, are mentioned below:

1. Brass Handicrafts

These are known for their Durability and items made of brass that are popular are brass home decor statues, brass Krishna statue, brass Buddha statue vases, table tops, perforated lamps and many more.



2. Bamboo Handicrafts

India is a major producer of bamboo and thus one can easily find handicrafts made from bamboo which is also considered to be eco-friendly crafts in India. Items made from bamboo include baskets, dolls, toys, chalani, furniture, mats, wall-hangings, and many more.



3. Dhokra Handicrafts

Dhokra is the oldest form of handicraft and is famous for its traditional simplicity. Basically it is a tribal handicraft originated in Madhya Pradesh. You can even buy Dhokra Handicraft, jewellery, candle stands, pen stands, which are available at every handicraft shop.



4. Paper Handicrafts

5. Crystal Handicrafts

6. Wooden Handicrafts

10. Bell Metal Handicrafts

Basically, it is a hard form of bronze that is usually used to make bells, that is why it is referred as bell metal. This kind of hard alloy is used to make crafts like vermilion boxes, bowls, candle stands, donari (pendants) and many more. These kind of mostly prevalent in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Manipur. In Madhya Pradesh, this form of handicraft is even regarded as "tribal craft".
